The Eagle's Club


The Eagle's Club is a ministry designed to meet the needs of men who desire to excel in the areas of Faith, Family, Friendship, Fitness, and Finance. The purpose of the club is to provide a safe environment where men can be transparent and where spiritual growth is facilitated, authentic friendship is developed, and fellowship is enjoyed. The goal of the ministry is to build a community of men who excel spiritually, relationally, physically, and financially.

Who is eligible for membership?
Membership is open to all men who are willing to commit themselves to a process of learning, mentoring, fellowship, and accountability.

How does the club function?
To achieve the stated goals, monthly gatherings are planned for the purpose of fellowship, prayer and study. Other planned activities include:
     . Special group outings and enrichment experiences such as sporting events, movies, fishing trips, conventions and retreats  

     . Participation in special community projects (i.e. Habitat for Humanity, Handyman projects to assist senior homeowners and single parents), housekeeping and ground-keeping projects around the church, befriending and mentoring young males and other servant activities.

The montly gathering consists of a time of light-heartedness (sharing wholesome jokes/tales from the chronicles of life); sharing a meal and fellowship; testimonials; sharing concerns and prayer; and a learning expenence.
The study curricula are designed around the five (5) areas of excellence:
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDSHIP, FITNESS, AND FINANCE.
This monthly teaching - learning experiences focus on:
     1. Spiritual formation to enrich faith

      2. Building relational skills and enriching relational experiences

      3. Improving [mancial stewardship

      4. Improving the quality of health

 

Group 1: Social Events Planning Team

Purpose and Assignment:

1. To facilitate opportunities for fellowship and the development of friendship.

2. To pIan and coordinate all social events for the men (ie. Sporting events, fishing trips.)

Group II: Church and Community Proiects Team

Purpose and Assignment:

1. To establish an effective bridge between the church and the community through active engagement in community development and enhancement projects.

2. To ensure that all church properties are kept in immaculate conditions at all times.

3. To engage in "servant hood" projects to needy members of the church family.

Group III: Special Events Planning and Coordination Team

Purpose and Assignment

1. To facilitate spiritual growth among our men.
2. To plan and coordinate, all retreats, special day observance (ie. Men's Day), and attendance at conventions and other men's spiritual gatherings.
3. To plan and coordinate intergenerational bonding and mentoring experiences (ie.
Father/son, father/daughter retreats and outings).
